NATURA
ARTIS MAGISTRA
(nature is the mistress of the arts), 2005
polyester, wood plywood and acrylic paint
250 x 150 x 75 cm.
The sculpture-garden
was situated in a public park. The object, painted in camouflage-colours,
is vaguely visible at the end of the sculpture-route. To reach the
object visitors have to cross over a large grass-field. Gradually
people perceive the body of a calf on his socle. Coming close by
the text becomes legible. The sculpture is a reference to the imperceptible,
but radical cultivating of our nature.
