HOME SWEET HOME ... BEWARE OF THE DOG

  Summer-exhibition for which artists were invited to make an artwork out of a treetrunk.
On houses and in gardens people use the treetrunk very often as decoration to build doorways, fences or flowerboxes.
Often they also give their houses names or hang up signs with wisdoms of life. In this work I combined elements which people use to give their house a 'character'. On the illuminated sign the text 'Home Sweet Home'. The sign is hanging on a treetrunk flowerbox. The wall is covered up with short treetrunks, some of them painted with wallpaper motives. In the treetrunk-wall a photograph of a fire on the heart. Build in lamps are flickering and lighting the fire. On the step is a painting of a dog and the line 'Beware of the Dog'.
